Classes

I am passionate about teaching slow, mindful, embodied yoga that is accessible for people of all body shapes, sizes, and abilities. 

I follow the principle that we adapt the yoga postures to suit the body that we are in - we don't try to force our bodies into positions that are uncomfortable to meet an imposed ideal. I offer suggestions for variations of different movements and postures so that students can explore what works for them.

Each class includes a breathing practice, movements for joint mobility and strength, yoga postures, and a guided relaxation.

I respect the traditional teachings of yoga and combine them with current understanding of how the body and mind work and the mind-body connection. I teach practices which are designed to balance and strengthen the nervous system, helping us to feel calm, energised and centred and enhancing  physical, mental and emotional resilience.

The classes are suitable for all levels of experience including beginners.
