Classes with Emma Slade (Ani Pema Deki)
Welcome to Whitstable Yoga. All yoga classes are taught by Emma Slade, and take place in her private studio in Clare Road, Whitstable. Classes are kept small to allow a high degree of individual attention and to give students a supportive and relaxing environment within which to practice. Classes are open to all those interested in yoga whether as a novice or an experienced practitioner.
Emma believes yoga is a wonderful thing and aims to teach in a way which passes on her enthusiasm, respect and sense of humour! Emma teaches yoga classes which include postures for strength and flexibility in a way which encourages greater awareness and understanding of movement, breath and a peaceful mind.
Emma has been teaching since 2001 and in that time has experienced and taught many aspects of yoga. Since 2012 she has deepened her understanding of the relationship between yoga and Buddhism by being ordained as a Buddhist nun with the monastic name Ani Pema Deki.
Emma's autobiographical book Set Free will be published on 13th April 2017. Click here for more information, a review by Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo (Cave in the Snow) and pre-order link.
